The phone comes packaged with a USB cable, charger (which uses the USB cable to connect to the phone), and ear buds. At first glance the phone is sleek, thin, and lightweight for such a big screen. The front is black and shiny. There are two thin speakers which run the length of the top and bottom of the front face of the phone. The back of the phone has a nice "rubbery" feel to it, which helps it stay put when laying on its back on a table or other surface. Also on back can be found the camera/ video recorder and the kickstand, which is easily pulled out and used to have the phone stand up so you can set it on a table and watch videos on it. There is also another small speaker on back. The touch screen works smoothly and responds quickly. The charger is very short however which may be annoying to some people.
Upon setting up the phone, you will enter your Windows Live ID (if you have one) so you can access the Xbox, Zune, and some other applications. However, you don't need a Windows Live ID. Next you choose your time zone from a list. I had a hard time finding my time zone because the list wasn't organized alphabetically. Small annoyance. And that's it...you can now access your phone. There are many applications on the startup screen. I think the startup screen could look a little better. It's basically a collection of all your apps with a small notation of the time on top as well as the usual reception bars and battery bars. I'd like it is the time was displayed bigger. Some things you may want to do at first: Set up your phone book: You'll need to import your contacts from your SIM card; they aren't uploaded automatically. Change some settings: There is an extensive variety of ringtones to choose from. You can also change your wallpaper and color.
(I received this phone as part of the Bzz Agent program, which gives members products to review and tell people about. These opinions are entirely my own and have not been influenced by my receiving the phone.)
