Review of Huffy's Cranbrook 26" Ladies Bike

I have wanted a new bike for years. Did I get one? Nope, I put it off over and over again. When my son was old enough to ride a bike I told myself I would get a new one to ride with him. Then, when he got good enough to ride without training wheels, I insisted on getting a new bike to ride with him. Nope. Finally, he is almost 9 and has mastered his cool BMX style bike and Mommy gets a new bike!

My new bike is amazing. It is a 26" Ladies Huffy Cranbrook Cruiser. It has nice wide, but not too wide, handlebars that allow you to sit upright and not have to lean forward. The seat is spring-loaded and wide for comfort. You don't feel all the little bumps in the road when you ride this bike. It is nice and smooth. It has a very simple lock that makes adjusting the seat height quick and easy.

Mine, just like the one in the link above, is a nice turquoise blue and it is amazing to ride. This bike also has covers on both tires so when you ride through water you won't get the water sprayed up at you. The tires have that retro whitewall look and are nice and wide, not thin and wobbly. The handlebars can be adjusted for height and the rubber coating is easy on the hands. This bike is also light and easy enough to carry either up a few steps to the porch or to lift onto the back of your car's bike rack. I purchased mine in Livermore, California a few weeks ago at Wal-Mart for around $84.00. It was a nice price and I worried that it would be a cheap bike for the price, but I was wrong. It is sturdy and stands up to the long rides my son and I have done.

As a bonus, we also purchased a seat to put on my bike for his sister. She is almost 2 and tries to ride his bike. The seat we purchased sits right behind my seat and comes with a rack you attach to the back of the bike, above the rear tire. It is the "Classic Child Carrier "by Bell and we bought it the same day as the bike for around $30. The adjustable straps go over the shoulders and snap near the chest. There is a separate lap belt, too. She likes the seat and enjoys going for rides.

The 26" Ladies Huffy Cranbrook Cruiser and the "Classic Child Carrier "by Bell are both excellent purchases. I am really glad spring is here and the days are longer. Now the whole family goes out for bike rides after dinner. I am very pleased with this bike.
