At first glance, Huggies Overnites Diapers are a little pricier in comparison to other options you may have. But consider this: these are meant for overnight use only, so if you buy the standard jumbo package of about 31 diapers like I did, they should last you nearly an entire month.
Huggies Overnites Diapers come in four sizes: 3 (16 - 28 lbs), 4 (22 - 37 lbs), 5 (27 - 40 lbs), and 6 (over 35 lbs). The only downside was that no smaller sizes are available, although in all fairness, babies younger than what would be considered a size 3 are usually not sleeping through the night yet. My daughter is about 15 lbs and size 3 does fit her pretty comfortably.
Upon first feel, Huggies Overnites Diapers feels a little rough. The outside could almost be compared to cardboard, but the inside feels soft and smooth, and that's the most important part. The diaper comes up pretty far on my baby's torso and back, so it appears that she gets plenty of coverage. And for being an overnight diaper, they really don't appear too bulky, which was a pleasant surprise.
But the most important question remains: do Huggies Overnites Diapers really work? I'm pleased to say that my answer is yes! I've been using them for nearly a month now and she has yet to leak into her clothes or onto the crib. And the best part, in my opinion, is that she seems comfortable. She barely fusses in the night (like she used to when she'd soak through her previous diapers), and greets me with smiles in the morning. Her skin isn't irritated at all, so it appears that the diaper holds quite a bit, but still keeps baby nice and dry. Just for testing purposes, I have taken on diaper and pured a full glass of water into it, and to my surprise, there was absolutely no leaking, and the surface felt a bit damp but not unbearable.
So would I recommend Huggies Overnites Diapers to any moms out there? Absolutely. And the fact that Huggies is constantly sending coupons helps, too. But I'm willing to spend any kind of money necessary on these diapers. After all, they're for my daughter, and nothing is too expensive when it comes to her comfort.
