Review of ICarly

On the Nickelodeon Channel

More Than Mere Mindless Fun
I started watching iCarly a few months ago with my seven year old son. I find the show to be funny, entertaining, and full of values that can be beneficial to anyone that watches it.

While Spencer is a bit of an eccentric artist, it all fits in very well with the whole show.

Bonding
I find that me and my son both have bursts of hilarious laughter while watching the show. It's great fun for the both of us.

Plot

While the show is based on people living in an apartment and what they do in their daily lives, I find that it fits in well with relating to reality.

My Opinion
I think that iCarly rocks and I'm a 39 year old man watching a kids show. Maybe it's just that I'm young at heart. I find the attitude of the characters on iCarly to be positive and uplifting.

Learn lessons
You can learn many life lessons from watching iCarly. For example, when Carly's grand dad came to visit and decided that he wasn't happy with the way that Spencer was raising Carly, his sister; he decided that he was going to take Carly to live with him in Yakima.

After Carly had packed up all her stuff and was about to leave, Spencer told his grand dad all about Carly's allergies and even included her inhaler for her asthma; which she hasn't had an attack of for the entire time that she's been living with Spencer.

Realization

Carly's grand dad came to realize that Spencer really does have Carly's best interests at heart. And thus, decided that it was best that Carly stay with Spencer. You see, iCarly is not only good entertainment for the whole family but, it also teaches life lessons.

Sam and Freddy may act like they hate each other at times but, you know that deep down there is an affection there for the commitment to the show that they do(the webcast), that they would never let each other down.

Conclusion

I find iCarly to be a top notch show and I recommend it to everyone. The show is uplifting, inspiring, funny, and full of sporadic moments that will have you laughing.

Even my 75-year-old dad loves this show! So many kids shows today are filled with crude humor and inappropriate innuendo. It's nice to see one that illustrates good values.
