The Incredibles tells the story of a miserable man on the brink of a mid life crisis and finds himself heading right into it. He also doesn't seem to care that much about the misery he's facing or putting any thought or consideration for his family, he's clearly showing it by being self-centered and fails to see any decency that comes with living his life. While his wife is the one who tries to do good by looking out after her family, well this is the story that The Incredibles has become. What's amazing is how Pixar films have decided to come up with a clever idea by eliminating the parents powers as the almighty superheroes they in fact are. Their superhero powers have been banished and never to be used again since it was the people and the government that have done so, many years have passed since and all of those superheroes than are now living regular everyday lives. What's even greater is that their own kids have also inherited some of their superhero genes and how the villains are looking to make a comeback, you have all of this and it makes for a great film.
It's quite difficult to say just how beautiful the animation for this film truly are, it's pure perfection. What I simply mean by this is when your viewing the movie you'll know it's an animated film, but as the story line progresses you'll still realize that this is an animated movie. The main difference is that you might over see it from time to time, like how the father roots for his son in the footrace that looks quite real. The special effects they created in the movie looked quite realistic like how they made water and fire (two of the most complex things to make in animated films) and how the lava looked it was all so wonderful to watch when I first saw this movie even to this very date in the year 2010. All of the characters and the actors voiceovers are superb and you'll eventually find yourself sympathizing with them as real people.
I usually come across a movie that isn't pace all that well, either because they take a relatively brief or long time towards introducing the characters of the film, or to the events that lead to the most important points or are a little unbalanced towards the climax of the movie. This is simply no issue with this movie since it's quite evenly balanced, the story line brings you on through a long awaited journey ride and there were no moments in the movie that I could of wished it would pass over or that something unusual would happen quite quickly. The only thing that I disliked about the movies were the children because they were acting like well you know kids? This movie will certainly put a smile onto your face once you've seen it you won't be disappointed, I would recommend this movie to everyone of all ages whether you're a kid or an adult. I truly appreciate the individuals that have taken time out of their day to read this review I am certainly thankful for that.
