Review of Infantino Baby Beach Band by Infantino - Not Necessarily a Beach Toy, but a Great Baby Toy

The name of the Infantino Baby Beach Band by Infantino might lead you to believe that this is a beach toy. It can be used at the beach, but in the end the Infantino Baby Beach Band is more of a noisemaker toy for infants. The Infantino Baby Beach Band by Infantino can be taken to the beach to entertain your infant, but the name comes from the fact that the characters included with the toy are based on the beach theme. It all starts with the Octopus drum that can also be used as a storage unit for all of the Octopus' musical friends in the set. This is a great toy that encourages your infant or young toddler to explore their musical interest while getting acquainted with the ocean characters.

As mentioned, the Octopus drum also serves as a container for all the other pieces in the Infantino Baby Beach Band by Infantino. The Octopus has legs that crinkle and can be played with or bitten by your child. The Octopus drum also plays a short song when your child presses on one of the tentacles. There is a lobster maraca that comes with the set as well. This is basically a glorified rattle, and can attach to the Octopus drum with a linkable ring. There is a fish tambourine for your child to shake, my son when he was under a year old really liked the mirror in the middle of the fish tambourine. As he got older he would look into it and say "baby, baby in toy". Also iincluded in the set is a starfish, which serves as a cymbal to entertain the child.

There are a few things I noticed about the Infantino Baby Beach Band by Infantino that I wasn't thrilled about. The sounds from every animal other than the Octopus are almost exactly alike. This is something that will probably bother us parents more than it bothers the children, as my son didn't seem dissapointed hearing the same sound from all the instruments. The song is very short when the Octopus tentacle is pressed on the Infantino Baby Beach Band by Infantino. Maybe that is actually a positive for us parents when you think of all those annoying songs children's toys make. Overall, I would have to recommend purchasing the Infantino Baby Beach Band by Infantino as it is not only a possible beach toy, but one your child can enjoy all year long.
