Review: International Playthings iPlay Light 'N Sounds Digger by I-Play

A Fun Truck, but is it Worth the Cost?

Arthur Kirk
Little boys love to play with trucks and I-Play has created one that is very popular with my son and his friends. It is the International Playthings iPlay Light 'N Sounds Digger by I-Play. The question though is it worth the $27 price tag? The answer to that has to be decided by you, once you read this review of the International Playthings iPlay Light 'N Sounds Digger by I-Play. In my opinion from how much fun my son and his friends have with their truck, I'd have to say that the International Playthings iPlay Light 'N Sounds Digger by I-Play is worth the higher than average price tag. It is well constructed, and has very few flaws. The flaws that the International Playthings iPlay Light 'N Sounds Digger by I-Play has are minor.

Like many children's toys, this truck will make plenty of noise to entertain your one and a half to three year old child. The truck itself makes realistic truck digging noises. When you put the worker character that comes with the International Playthings iPlay Light 'N Sounds Digger by I-Play into his seat, your child will hear the voice of that character. The only negative is that the younger children in the suggested age range of one and a half to three year olds might have some difficulty getting the character into the driver's seat of the truck. They may require your assistance getting it around the black bars on the truck.

The International Playthings iPlay Light 'N Sounds Digger by I-Play is made to withstand the abuse that toddlers tend to put their toys through. My son has thrown it around the house when playing with his friends and has caused no significant damage to the toy. The corners on the International Playthings iPlay Light 'N Sounds Digger by I-Play are rounded, so you don't have to worry about sharp edges injuring your child or their friends who are playing with the truck.

I will admit that my son got his International Playthings iPlay Light 'N Sounds Digger by I-Play as a present so I did not have to pay the $27 price. If it was up to me though to purchase the International Playthings iPlay Light 'N Sounds Digger by I-Play for one of my son's friends as a present. Well the answer is simple, considering last weekend that is just what I did for a birthday party my son was invited to.

  • The digging sounds are rather realistic for a toddler's toy.
  • Remember as a parent you might have to help get the driver into the seat.
  • There are no small parts to this toy, which is a great thing for a children's toy.
This is one of my son's favorite trucks to play with when his friends come over.
