Laying in bed one night it dawned on me that I had several USB mouse's I don't use and I could break them up and create a pen mouse. When I woke up before going to those measures, I went on amazon.com and looked up pen mouse. I was shocked to see so many styles. I finally settled on I-Pen as it was the lowest priced and the least amount of features.
When I-Pen came, I was really pleased with how small, and lightweight the I-Pen is. It looks, and feels just like a pen. There are wireless pen models, but as I used a mouse all day long, it would be a waste of money. As well as it's not going very green using that many batteries. I'd go through a pack of batteries a week if not more.
The features of I-Pen include, optical mouse, converts handwriting into text, send and receive hand written notes, create memos and make highlights over any program, make notes on web pages, and easily create designs.
System requirements are Pentium CPU or above, windows 98/ME/2000/XP (sorry no vista at this time), Mac OS 9.x or above. CD_ROM drive or internet connection when downloading finger system utilities via the internet.
The I-Pen Mouse's price is anywhere from $30 - $50.
I-Pen Mouse is very easy to use and install. I had no problems what so ever. I did have to move the scroll speed down a lot compared to my hand mouse. I-Pen Mouse also came with a mini mouse pad that isn't necessary to use, but is nice because it has a coating on the back that makes sure where ever you would place you I-Pen Mouse, and mouse pad it stays in place.
I would recommend this mouse for anyone suffering with hand and join pain as well as those of us who like to write. It's beautiful with graphic design, and I found that you don't need a lot of the software it comes with. Beautiful product for kids learning the PC, as they already should be use to a pen / pencil.
The I-Pen also includes two extra tips in case you eventually need to replace them. A great value for the price and a great savings on my hand. The next time someone tells you, you have or are getting CTS, show them other wise and purchase this I-Pen Mouse today.
I rate this I-Pen mouse 10 out of 10 stars.
I would only suggest to better enhance the experience a holder for the I-Pen mouse to set when in not in use.
