Review of ITunes Application "Froggy Jump"

This is a free app. It can be located under the category of Games in the iTunes store. You can also find it by searching for "Froggy Jump" in the App Store. The download data is 15.5 MB. It is compatible with the iPhone, iPod touch and the new iPad. This game is best played on an iTouch or iPhone. It requires iOS 3.0 or later to play.

This game was last updated on August 11, 2010, the newest version is 1.9. It was created by Invictus Games Ltd. and is similar to Doodle Jump. The game is best played in portrait mode while you move your device from side to side allowing the frog to jump up to a higher level. You can obtain letters to spell words to gain points and prizes. A new word is featured every day; you can also jump and touch coins and diamonds to increase your score to unlock new levels.

As long as there is a spot to jump on you will continue upward. If you don't jump on a grass or dirt pad you will plummet back down. A grass pad will keep your frog jumping upward but a dirt pad will give way and cause him to fall through it. Froggy Jump has several sounds and even the frog says "Geronimo" and laughs at certain times. When he falls to the ground he makes an Ugh noise. After you fall, your score will be displayed and the amount of coins you have collected will be shown, if you have collected any diamonds they will be shown at the bottom of the screen. 1000 coins = 1 diamond.

There is a small pause button located in the upper left hand corner if you need to suspend your game for any reason. You can resume play by touching continue or you can touch restart to spell a new word.

If you collect space rockets while you are jumping on the grass pads or dirt pads you can use one in case you fall. The rocket will self activate when you touch the screen. There are monsters that you can jump on top of to kill also. The points that you acquire can be used to dress your frog in crazy clothes. It does matter what you dress him in, it will not affect game play. Since this is a free app there are advertisements that appear at the bottom of the screen. They will not affect your ability to play.

Ten minutes of game play uses 5% of your battery life, this app also uses a full screen in order to play, you will not be able to see the time or how much battery life you have left. You can unlock new levels depending on your score; there are themes such as a soccer player frog, a clown fish frog and a skeleton frog. 60k points unlocks a snow theme with a Yeti frog. When the game is launched you can see the different frogs that you can play with. This game is very addictive because you can play for a long time while trying to increase your score to unlock new themes.
