Review of James Blunt "All the Lost Souls" CD and MVI DVD

Cindy Wright
James Blunt's new album "All the Lost Souls" is his sophomore album. "Back to Bedlam was his first album selling over 11 million CDs worldwide and going #1 in 18 countries. He had the 1st #1 (Your Beautiful) single in the U.S since Elton John's Candle in the Wind in 1997. "All The Lost Souls" is likely to follow the same path as Back to Bedlam, with the heart-touching and meaningful lyrics in the songs.

I got the "All the Lost Souls" CD and the MVI CD a few weeks ago and they they are both great. A MVI is a DVD that contains a full album, video content, interactive features and portable music files. You can play a MVI disc anywhere that you play a DVD. MVI will play in your computer, portable music player, portable DVD player, game console and your home theater system.

With the MVI you can play the songs from the CD, watch a video of 1973, and watch a DVD preview Documentary James Blunt Return to Kosovo, video of the making of All the Lost Souls, picture gallery of James and much more.

The music from "All the Lost Souls" has great sound quality and James voice and the music reminds you of the Bee Gees, Fleetwood Mac and such other great artists. "1973" the first track off the CD definitely reminds me of the Bee Gees, which is good, I love the Bee Gees. The second track "one of The Brightest Stars" also keeps the 70s feel. "I Really Want You" is another favorite of mine. It has a very upbeat tempo and beautifully meaningful lyrics. The possible death of a friend is there loud and clear in "Carry You Home."

I immediately liked"1973" and "I Really Want You." These are my favorite tracks off the CD. I love soft rock music and this CD really appeals to that love of soft rock. Almost every song has background piano in it which blends really well with James Blunts voice.

James Blunts fans will love this CD and new fans will be made. As an added plus the MVI lets you visually enjoy James Blunt along with the elegance and crooning of James Blunt's beautiful voice.

Sounds like a good album. I'll have to check it out.
