Review of JCW's - Fast Food Burgers Without the Fast Food Taste

Finding a great burger joint is one of the great American pass times. We love baseball, apple pie, and a good hamburger. Usually, we find ourselves choking down a processed patty that's been injected with liquid smoke to make it seem fire grilled from a chain store, rather than sit down at a restaurant and waste our time in an uncomfortable booth. Is there no hope? I'm here to say there is and it's found at JCW's, a small fast food style burger place in American Fork, UT, just 40 minutes south of Salt Lake and 15 minutes north of Provo. Found at 580 East State Rd.

JCW's calls itself "The Burger Boys" with great reason. They have a variety of great hamburgers made to order from the classic cheeseburger to a great Hawaiian burger, topped with pineapple. Their burgers are cooked to order and so they're hot and ready when you need them. JCW's also has a variety of great chicken sandwiches, salads, and a grilled cheese sandwich to die for. The sandwiches are big and greasy, just like a burger should be, and so are not for the dieter, but great for those with a big appetite.

JCW's also offers great shakes and French fries to finish of your meal. Each combo order is served with the traditional soda and fries, and also comes with the Utah staple of fry sauce. They also offer great fish and chips dinners, as well as chicken fingers, baked potatoes, and hot wings.

The price is affordable. It's not the dollar menu at most chain restaurants, but JCW's ranges from a grilled cheese for about $2.50 to about $6.99 for a burger combo. The food is great tasting and affordable, a great combination for a quick meal option.

The restaurant is great for dine in or take out, but keep in mind that the food is made to order, so if you're going through the drive through, you may need to wait a moment. They sum it up with a sign apologizing for the delay, but reminding you that they're making you a hot meal to go. If you're going inside, they usually outfit you with a number and, again, you'll have to wait for a bit to get your food, but it's definitely worth it to get a nice, hot burger at a great price.

JCW's is a great burger joint worth giving a try. They call themselves the "Burger Boys" because they truly do what they can to give their patrons a great, fresh burger for an affordable price without the hassle of a sit-down restaurant. If you're in the area, JCW's should definitely be on your list for lunch or dinner.

This is my favorite burger joint, too! I've been going since they first opened their doors in American Fork.
