Review of Jerky Treats and Ol' Roy Biscuits

Johanna Swith
My dog is one of the most spoiled rotten dogs in the world, he enjoys a variety of treats on a regular basis. As he is a sporting breed and extremely active I don't mind giving him snacks, as long as they are healthy and enjoyable. As I have bought at least one hundred different varieties of treats since my dog came into my life I want to share some of my thoughts and opinions based upon my experience with dog treats. In this multi product review I hope to help dog owners make an informed decision before making any purchases.

Del Monte has a new and improved treat out on the market, called Jerky Treats Beef Flavor. These dog treats are strips of beef jerky with calcium, anti-oxidants and Omega 3. You get 35 treats per bag, and my dog loves these! Del Monte Jerky Treats Beef Flavor retail for around three dollars per bag, and the bag is a generous size of nearly twelve ounces. I love that these dog treats are made with real beef, and include Calcium to help my dog achieve healthy teeth and bones, The anti-oxidants help my dog to have a healthy immune system, and the Omega 3 helps us achieve a shiny, healthy, luxurious coat. I offer a jerky treat by Del Monte to my beloved pooch as a reward, or just a little snack a few times a week. For the price these dog treats are an excellent buy, and I am sure your dog will love them as much as my dog does!

My dog isn't too picky, however the next treat I want to mention was not a hit at my house. Ol' Roy biscuits treats, in a five flavor assortment. I doubt that my dog can relate Ol' Roy products to cheap treats, but he will not eat these. I have heard that hard biscuits are good for dogs, as it helps the dog have better dental hygiene, however I have also heard from my veterinarian that these treats are not so great for your dogs stomach. I am no expert on the hard biscuits. I do know that my spoiled pooch will not even eat Ol' Roy biscuits in his doggy ice cream from our local Dairy Queen. You have to take the biscuits out of the ice cream, or he will have nothing to do with it!

Ol' Roy five flavor biscuits are affordable, at a price around one dollar for a nearly two pound package, or a little less than four dollars for five pounds. If your dog is not picky, you can probably feed these biscuits as an occasional treat with no worries.
