Beckley, WV 25801
United States of America
The restaurant is locally owned and managed by locals in the Beckley area. The current owners of King Tut Drive In have owned it since the 1950's.
King Tut is known for their great pizzas, barbeque sandwiches, twice-baked potatoes and their homemade pies. The restaurant makes their own bread and it's outstanding. One of the best pies to try is the coconut cream pie. The milk shakes are made from real ice cream and they are great. Homemade soups are available during the winter months.
King Tut Drive In is located at 301 North Eisenhower Drive in Beckley, WV. If you ever get a chance to visit Beckley, WV you stop by the restaurant or call an order in to go. The restaurant is open everyday from 10:30 till 11 p.m. except on Wednesday.
The best thing about King Tut Drive In is that you get the feel of old restaurants from the 1950's as well as taste some of the best homemade food in southern West Virginia. The food prices are very affordable and less expensive than eating at a franchised restaurant.
I've tried just about every dish served by King Tut's and have not been disappointed. The chicken liver boat is very good. King Tut's pizza's are the best and made from scratch. They use the small pepperoni and the pizza is greasy, but very good. Most of the people that leave the area have to visit King Tut Drive In while they're visiting because the food is that good.
So if you're looking for girls roller skating up to take your order you can forget that but be prepared for delicious food and great service. There's not that many family-owned restaurants in Beckley, but the best hands down is King Tut Drive In.
