King Wok's is a family owned restaurant. It's your typical hole-in-the-wall kind of place, with a very simple décor and a very homey atmosphere. You can either eat in or place an order for pick-up. If you chose to eat in, you will have a choice of about ten tables, each with the ability to seat four to six people. The food is served on decorative plates with various Asian motifs. If you chose to call in your order, give these folks about ten minutes and they will have your food ready to go. They do not have a drink fountain - all drinks are served in bottles or cans, and are located in the cooler by the counter.
Now on to the main point of this review. The food is delicious. It is always made fresh, served hot and accompanied by (what else but) sweet fortune cookies. Try the Sesame Chicken entrée - chicken is served with broccoli and a side of white rice, and, by far, it offers the thickest and yummiest sesame sauce I have every had. In addition, don't miss out on the egg rolls; egg rolls are their best appetizer. My second favorite is the Sweet and Sour Chicken, so give that a shot as well (although please note that this dish is served with the sweet and sour sauce on the side). And if you don't like either of my recommendations, don't get discouraged. King's Wok has a huge menu, with over many of your favorites to chose from. Oh, and all of the portions are large enough to have leftovers or share with someone else.
To complete the tri-fecta, in addition to offering fast service and great food, King's Wok has very reasonable prices. My "usual" order of two egg rolls, and Sesame chicken runs about $11, and I always have enough left for lunch the next day. Nice, right?
Stop by King's Wok at 3150 North Aurora Rd. I'd suggest you hang out and eat there, but that's only because that's what I usually do when I feel like Chinese food. But take out is good too. The restaurant can also be reached at 630-862-3883.
Enjoy!
