The Knock Out By Fundex game consists of a playing area with a three by three grid. That grid is made up of nine circles that hold foam tubes. The goal is to "knock out" three of those tubes in a row to your opponent's side of the game board. Your opponent will try to reverse the direction of the tubes and get three in a row themselves. How you know these tubes onto your opponent's side of the game board is rather unique. You have a ball attached to your wrist with a bungee cord. You throw the ball and it comes back to you thanks to the bungee cord around your wrist. Of course your opponent on the other side has the same thing. You are throwing your balls at the same time, hoping that you will become the first player to get three in a row and win the game.
I was a little dissapointed by Knock Out considering it is manufactured by Fundex. Typically games by Fundex are very sturdy and designed very well. Unfortunately, that is not the case with Knock Out By Fundex. The rings that hold the foam tubes you are trying to "knock out" to get three in a rown are not attached into the game board very well and actually come out of the gameboard themselves quite often when hit by the ball. This means you have to pause the game and wait until they can be reattached. I was also surprised by the plastic framing for Knock Out By Fundex. Typically their games are made with solid framing to keep the game from falling apart. Unfortunately with the plastic framing for Knock Out, that is not the case. Many times we had to pick up the game board and set it back up in the middle of the game.
This is a shame, as the concept of Knock Out by Fundex is very good. It could be a very good game if it was manufactured with the same care that they put into some of their other outdoor games. If you are willing to put up with having to set the frame up several times in the course of a game then Knock Out by Fundex is a good game for you. Otherwise, I would wait and see if Fundex makes a more sturdy version of the game, or one of their competitors make a more substantially built form of Knock Out by Fundex.

- The Knock Out game is built around the tic tac toe concept.
- This can be a great game for family reunions, birthday parties, and cookouts.
- Unfortunately it is not built as well as other Fundex products.
