With ipod Dock

After testing several strollers, there was only one that would withstand rough use . The Kolcraft Contours Lite Plus stroller was bought online for less than $80 with shipping, had it been bought it in a store, it would have been less than $70. This stroller is a lightweight stroller that folds quickly without too many hassles. The stroller is stylish with a neon green color and large black wheels. The stroller includes an Ipod dock that will allow all Ipods and even some mp3s to be attached to the dock and the music will play out toward the child. The pocket that hold the Ipod is mesh and a bit tight, but you will know your Ipod will not fall out.

The umbrella of the Kolcraft Contours Lite Plus stroller is not a full canopy, but is slightly larger than an umbrella stroller canopy. It will not completely block all sun if you are facing it. That is a problem with this stroller if you do not have anything to protect your child's eyes from the glaring sun. Everything else makes this stroller the best bargain on the market. The steering is very easy, allowing even a small child to push the stroller in the proper direction without hitting objects, or wheels twisting, stopping the stroller abruptly. Those are common problems in many strollers that Kolcraft Contours Lite Plus has overcome. The wheels are designed uniquely, as the front two actually extend away from the stroller and are not in the normal placement. There are only a total of four wheels, unlike normal light weight strollers that have double wheels in front. They extend up and over, making the stroller less likely to tip on it's side as well as making steering easy. The placement of the wheels also make folding the stroller easy as the wheels do not need to be lined up just right as many strollers do.The wheels are easily locked with a push of a brake on the back two wheels. The wheels are large and allow for a smooth ride even on rough roads or grass.

Folding the stroller while easily done with the wheels, can be tricky to get compact. The problem comes from the back of the seat. It is positioned with a strap that can be adjusted for the recline. While being folded, the seat tends to get stuck in front of the handle bar. While the stroller can still be folded, it makes it bulkier. To fix this problem, as the stroller is being folded, pull the back of the seat toward you, to get it behind the handle bar. The seat is comfortable for the child, as it has an added removable pad that wraps behind and around the child, making the back softer and cradles smaller heads better. The harness is a five point harness that is adjusted fairly easily and offers padding on the shoulders to prevent hurting the shoulders and neck of the child. There is a tray in front of the seat that offers a drink holder as well as a small area for food or toys. this is not easily removable, but does not interfere with placing the child in the stroller.

Overall, the Kolcraft Contours Lite Plus stroller is the best stroller on the lightweight stroller market. It is affordable, stylish, and easy to steer. It is not too big, so shopping with this stroller will not be burdensome. The steering is excellent and the handle is place high enough that an average height person will not have to bend over to reach. The canopy could be larger to protect the child from the sun, or block out nosy people, but is better than an average umbrella stroller. The Ipod dock is a nice feature if your child enjoys music, but is not loud enough to share with anyone else. It would be nice is the music could be louder for the person pushing the stroller to enjoy. The stroller folds okay, but it would be nice if Kolcraft would fix the back of the seat so it would not interfere with proper folding. The seat if comfortable for the child, and the drink holder is nice. As a consumer, the Kolcraft Contours Lite Plus Stroller would be an excellent choice.
