While grocery shopping, I spotted a bag of Kraft Shredded Mexican Style Four Cheese in the refrigerated cheeses section. I was planning several meals that needed cheese and this product looked perfect. I decided to buy this cheese, try it and write a review all about my experience with it. Here is what I found out!
One bag of Kraft Shredded Mexican Style Four Cheese costs around three dollars. Each bag has two cups of very thinly shredded cheese in it. This blend intrigued me. With Monterey Jack, cheddar, Asadero and queso quesadilla cheeses, this mix is more than creative. I enjoy cooking Mexican style food and I was hoping that this cheese would make my dishes better. I first sprinkled this cheese blend on some homemade tacos. This product works well on tacos. I then tried some of this mix in some chili. It made my chili spectacular and fun. When I used some of this cheese in my quesadillas, it worked magic. The flavor blends so well with quesadillas and the fine cheese melts so quickly. Cooking with this product is a treat. It does wonders in my casseroles, too. I loved this product!
I rate Kraft Shredded Mexican Style Four Cheese four and one half stars out of five stars. I would like to see a bit more cheddar in this mix. Overall, it is a winner and a great help to anyone cooking Mexican style food. I tried adding some to refried beans and it was marvelous. One serving of this cheese has 100 calories. 70 of those calories are from fat. One serving has 8 grams of total fat, 5 grams of saturated fat, 25 mg's of cholesterol, 180 mg's of sodium, 1 gram of total carbs, 0 grams of dietary fiber, 0 grams of sugars and 6 grams of protein. This cheese is an excellent source of calcium. This product does contain milk ingredients. I really liked the packaging and the bag is re sealable. Fabulous! I am a fan of many Kraft brand food products and this company has been cheesemaking since 1914. "Straight off the block." is the motto for this brand and I agree. This cheese tastes fresh. I will be buying this Mexican style shredded cheese blend again. It makes my recipes great and saves me time spent in the kitchen. I love that!
