Review of the Laguna Reef Inn in Laguna Beach, California

A Great Little Place to Stay on the Beach

Jason Ward
I stayed at the Laguna Reef Inn at Laguna Beach, California last week and I have to say it was a great little place, and I wanted to write a review on it so that others will be able to partake of its cozy atmosphere and warm hospitality.

The Laguna Reef Inn is located in a beautiful area in Laguna, right across the road from the ocean, with a great beach, and awesome views. For those people that don't want to go swimming in the ocean there is a gorgeous pool with heating that will make you very happy.

The architects did a great job in making the place look like a five star hotel. The free breakfast is served on patio tables around the pool and the food is delicious and flavorful. They also have a free computer and printer available in case you need to check your email or print anything important.

The staff were very well trained and treated me with respect, and were very accommodating and helpful. We had a little problem in our room and the manager got to it right away and changed our room without any hassle or problems, even offering us some dinner vouchers as an apology.

The TV had a bunch of channels and had a VCR player as well. There was also free internet access in the room, as well as a fridge and microwave.

What I found was very nice as well was the Jacuzzi and Sauna which was exactly what I needed after long days at the beach, it was very thoughtful of them to have those.

Apparently it is a famous place to stay in Laguna as we met a number of other guests who where there on vacation as well, and they all had good things to say about the hotel.

If golfing is your thing there is also a golf course just down the road which I passed and looked quite nice.

For great restaurants in the area the receptionist suggested that we go down to Dana Point Harbor a couple of miles down the road, just like they said the restaurants where great and we had a nice time exploring down there as well.

Another little note, there is supposedly a shuttle that goes to the center of town every 15 minutes from the hotel, but it wasn't running while I was there as it was winter, but if you're there in the summer it should make life easier.

The perfect place to stay next time you are in Laguna, you won't be disappointed.

I love writing and I'll do a review on pretty much anything if it sparks my interest.  View profile
