Review of Larrys Sour Cream & Chives Mashed Potatoes

Affordable and Tasty

Bridgitte Williams

Recently, I was shopping for a creative and different side dish. Something a bit more fun than mashed potatoes. I spotted a box of Larrys Sour Cream & Chives Mashed Potatoes in the frozen foods section at my local Dollar Tree store. They looked pretty good. I decided to purchase them, try them out and write a product review all about my personal experience with them. Here is what I discovered!

Larrys Sour Cream & Chives Mashed Potatoes are very affordable. I bought a box with two mashed potato dishes in it for only one dollar. A very food budget friendly product, for sure. These are made with all natural potatoes. There are no artificial flavors in these, either. Fabulous. They are fairly low in cholesterol and saturated fat. These also have a nice amount calcium in them. The ingredients are potatoes, sour cream, onion powder, chives and many others. That all sounded great to me. I could not wait to taste these.

These are perfect for microwave cooking and that is how I chose to prepare them. I removed the dish from its plastic sleeve, placed it on a microwave safe plate, heated on high for four minutes and let stand for two minutes before serving. This dish is very hot and it needs several minutes to cool off. These looked great and smelled good. When I tasted Larrys Sour Cream & Chives Mashed Potatoes, I liked them. They are tasty. These are pretty and make a dinner table attractive with their cute dishes. The potatoes, chives and sour cream make this side a creative and fun item to serve and eat. You will need to add salt. I also added bacon bits to mine and it made them so yummy! I rate these four stars out of five stars and I will be buying them again. They save me money and they also save me time spent in the kitchen.

One of these has 190 calories in it. 70 of those calories are from fat. These have 8 grams of total fat, only 2 grams of saturated fat, 0 grams of trans fat, 5 mg's of cholesterol, 330 mg's of sodium, 590 mg's of potassium, 27 grams of total carbs, 1 gram of dietary fiber, 8 grams of sugars and 3 grams of protein. These also have a small amount of iron in them. This product does contain milk ingredients.

I enjoyed trying Larrys Sour Cream & Chives Mashed Potatoes and writing a product review about them. This company also has cheddar cheese and broccoli and cheddar potatoes, along with sweet potatoes. For only one dollar, these are certainly worth trying. They are ready in a jiffy and go well with so many dinner menus. Awesome. They add a gourmet flair to a meal.
