The microwave cooking directions said to place the Lean Pockets Chipotle Chicken sandwich in the crisping sleeve before microwaving for two minutes and fifteen seconds. I followed the directions to the letter but when I opened the microwave I found the sandwich was slightly overcooked and some of the sandwich filling had oozed out. I cooked the second Chipotle Chicken sandwich for only two minutes and had much better results.
The Lean Pockets Culinary Creation Chipotle Chicken is made with whole grain crust. The crust cooked up soft for the most part, however it did turn hard on one side corner edge of the first sandwich. The second Chipotle Chicken sandwich had soft crust all around.
I expected the Lean Pockets Chipotle Chicken sandwiches to be highly spicy. I was disappointed. The flavor could only be labeled spicy by someone who usually ate bland foods. Anyone else would label it as flavorful but not spicy or hot.
The filling did contain a moderate amount of chicken which was covered in Chipotle sauce. This is a filling sandwich. Despite being a product for weight conscious people, Lean Pockets are usually loved by everyone including children. The Chipotle Chicken would probably be a great sandwich to give children just because it isn't as spicy as it should have been.
While I was eating my Chipotle Chicken sandwich, the comment was made that it smelled like vegetable soup. I have to agree that it smelled that way and even tasted similar to vegetable soup broth. After realizing this, I could not finish eating the Lean Pockets Chipotle Chicken sandwich.
I cannot recommend the Lean Pockets Chipotle Chicken sandwiches to anyone. When I purchased this product I was looking forward to a spicy sauced chicken sandwich. This is not what I received. While this product is a quick and easy meal or snack to fix, the flavor was a far cry from what the box said.
If you are still interested in trying Lean Pockets Chipotle Chicken, you can purchase a box at most quality grocery stores including Walmart, Kroger and Super Kmart. The Lean Pockets Chipotle Chicken costs about two dollars.
