Review: Leap Frog Spin & Sing Alphabet Zoo by Leap Frog
Good Toy to Introduce Children to Animals and the Alphabet
The Leap Frog Spin & Sing Alphabet Zoo by Leap Frog is a rather simple toy. It is a large wheel in a plastic base that has 26 stops on it representing a letter and an animal each. Your child spins the wheel and then depending on which spot it lands on they will either hear the letter sound or the animal name and sound for that spot on the wheel. You as a parent can set the mode on the wheel to concentrate on either letters or animals. Of course there are other entertaining features of the Leap Frog Spin & Sing Alphabet Zoo by Leap Frog, including lights and music to entertain them while they play and learn.
As a parent I did have a couple of concerns with the Leap Frog Spin & Sing Alphabet Zoo by Leap Frog. While it is well constructed for durability it does pose some injury risks for young children. The Leap Frog Spin & Sing Alphabet Zoo by Leap Frog is made of hard plastic, and can shatter if thrown, or injure another child. It probably would have been better to construct the toy of hard rubber to reduce risk of injury. Another issue I have is that the Leap Frog Spin & Sing Alphabet Zoo by Leap Frog is not easy to clean. The wheel does not pop out, so if anything gets stuck around the wheel that you child places in it, it could limit or stop the wheel from spinning. The final issue I had with the Leap Frog Spin & Sing Alphabet Zoo by Leap Frog is that the sticker on the wheel peels off easily.
Overall, even though as a parent I am a fan of the Leap Frog brand, I can not recommend the Leap Frog Spin & Sing Alphabet Zoo by Leap Frog highly. If your child receives it as a gift it is a nice learning toy, but just not something I would purchase on my own.

- There are 26 letter sounds and animal sounds on the wheel.
- The wheel also has lights and music to entertain your child.
- Unfortunately cleaning this toy can be very difficult.
