Review of the Left Behind Series: Some of the World's Best Selling Books

Millions of people have vanished at the blink of an eye all around the world. The only answers anyone has are speculations from alien abduction to government conspiracy's. The whole world has been left in total chaos and just when it seems like life as we know it will never return to normal a new hope has arrived. Nicolae Carpathia, the new secretary-general of the United Nations, promises to restore peace and provide answers to all the nations. This man is an answer to everyones prayers, the only problem is they have yet to realize Carpathia is the Antichrist the Bible has tried to warn us about. Born again Christians Rayford Steele, his daughter Chloe, their pastor Bruce Barnes, and journalist Cameron "Buck" Williams form a group called the Tribulation Force to help people realize the truth, accept god into their hearts, and prepare them for the coming tribulation where god will pour out his judgment on the world for the next seven years.

Wow, that all sounds powerful doesn't it? Well it is. This has got to be the best series of books I have ever read. I have always wanted to understand the end times and the tribulation but trying to read it in Revelations did nothing for me. As far as I was concerned Revelations is another language I don't know. The Left Behind series is just that. It's Revelations not only in English but in story form also. The messages in this series are inspirational and the story and plot are exceptional. They really are a must read.

The Left Behind series were written by DR.Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins, and published by Tyndal House. The series deals with Christian end times, pretribulation, and premillennial. Its the Christians view point of the end of the world, and an interpretation of prophecies in the book of Revelations. Many of the books from the Left Behind series have topped the New York Times best sellers list. The books popularity has spread past the United States and has been translated into many languages. A few of the main books have been turned into movies- Left behind: The movie, Left behind II: Tribulation force, and Left behind: World at war. A series has also been written for teens called Left Behind: the kids series books. The plot of this series is the same as the adult series, but the main characters are teenagers, so kids can relate to this series better.

This series truly is one of the absolute best set of books I have ever read. The story alone is very powerful let alone the message the series portrays. The Left Behind series leaves you wanting more after every single book and it also makes you wonder. This series has really opened my eyes and made me realize my walk with God wasn't as strong as I thought it was, or wanted it to be. It makes you think about the end times and if we are really living in them and what exactly will happen to you personally. I highly recommend this series to any Christian, anyone wondering what Revelations is really trying to tell us, or to anyone who just wants to read an exceptional story.
