Review of LG Env2 & Saving it from Water Damage.

Pros

The Env2 is available from Verizon Wireless. I chose it because of its key board. This keyboard is one of the best that I have seen, and is great for texting. Once you get used to it, you will be able to text without looking. This phone is also very durable. I have dropped mine numerous times and have seen no problems. I also dropped it in my saltwater aquarium. I thought that it would be gone, but 3 months later it is still working fine. The trick to saving it is easy. Look below to see it. The battery life is also pretty substantial as it will run for around two days without a charge. Overall the interface of the phone is very easy to use and learn. It is also a great phone if you want to be able to play music. It is easy to switch the speaker on as you only have to flip open the phone to activate it when you are already in a call or have music playing.

Cons

The front screen of the phone is tiny. It is not really good to do much on. Without flipping open the phone you are not able to access the full menu of options. I know that on the Env3 this has been changed. The front screen is not only larger, but the menu is fully accessible. This phone also does not have a zoom for the camera. That is a good downer in my opinion.

Conclusion

Overall this is a great phone for the price. It is a great phone if you are going to be a lot of texting or using the internet. If you can though, go for the much improved Env3. It is improved in the areas of the Env2 that are cons.

Saving your phone

First shut off the phone right away. You don't want the battery to short out. Taking out the battery is probably the fastest way to do this. Then you need to dip your phone in freshwater if you dropped it in saltwater. Do this right away because the salt will start corroding away the inside of your phone. If you didn't drop it in saltwater then go straight to the alcohol dip. Make sure you fill a glass with enough so that you can fully submerge your phone in it. Having alcohol that is as close to 100% as possible is the best. This will push out the water in your phone. Submerge your phone in the alcohol for 5-10 minutes, and then take it out and dry it will a paper towel. Do not use a dryer to try and dry out the inside. This will damage it more. Wait an hour or so and try to turn it on. If it doesn't work give it some time. If you do this process you will have a much better change of saving your phone. The quicker you get your phone in the alcohol, the water chance you have of saving it.
