Thankfully my local Target decided that spring clean up was in order, and they too began lining shelves with all new fragrances; fragrances of course with spring, and summer in mind.
When I first spotted Glade's newest limited edition fragrances for spring, I was excited mostly due to the neat artwork they had going on. While other competitor home fragrance companies tried to charge up shelves with new floral fragrances, nothing managed to catch my eye as brightly and vividly as Glade's collection did.
I managed to come across 2 new fragrances which were both released as spring time limited editions. I fell in love with Sparkle of Spring, and nearly melted when I popped the top off of Bring on the Blossoms, Scented Oil Candle.
The Scent:
Well I am pretty confused at why Glade bothered to call this one Bring on the Blossoms. It has not a trace of anything in its scent that I would consider florals. Instead Bring on the Blossoms gives off a much lighter softer musky mist which is simply a scent I would associate with heaven.
There are no notes of florals though at all, which is what one would expect from a candle when called something like Bring on the Blossoms.
I however did not mind at all, so long as what was packed up in this glass candle jar smelled good, and by golly, this one smells fantastic.
I hoped that once I got this one home, and lit it, that it would give off this scent in a more powerful way. Some candle companies know how to deliver a glorious scent in the jar, but once lit, that scent is either transformed into a cheap gross waxy scent, or it does not smell at all. Yankee in particular has been a big disappointment to me over the past year or so.
My Use:
When I finally got around to lighting up Bring on the Blossoms, I was saddened to note that this one was not as powerful as I would have hoped, and the scent was also slightly different than what I initially smelled when the candle was unlit. It gave off a more sickly note of crayola crayons, that waxy unappealing scent, mixed with a light musky fragrance.
Personally I didn't like it, which was sad because had such high hopes for it, after falling in love with Sparkle of Spring, another limited edition fragrance in their spring collection.
Overall:
I'd recommend skipping on this one and grabbing a few Glade Sparkle of Spring candles for your home instead.
