Review of local golf courses around Fort Worth, Texas
I have played at these golf courses and they are my favorites.
1. Pecan Valley Golf Course

6400 Pecan Valley Dr., Fort Worth, Texas 817-249-1845. Located just below the Benbrook Dam. This course offers 18 holes and it has a river that runs through it. It's open from dawn to dusk and very inexpensive. They offer special web sale rates at random times, so check their website often. Their site shows their normal fees range from $10.00 to $22.00. They offer discounts for juniors and seniors. They also offer annual discounts for groups, families, individuals and children. They have separate weekend and holiday savings. On-line is a calendar of events, including upcoming tournaments.
2.Lost Creek Golf Course

Located just 15 minutes west of downtown Fort Worth, in Aledo, Texas. This course has gently rolling hills and lots of trees. The course features all Bermuda grass. They offer 3 tees for you to choose from. You can play year round. Water comes to play on nine of its holes.
Rates with cart runs $18.00 to $30.00. Tee-times can be booked on-line, please allow 24 hour notice for cancellations. They offer low on-line tee-time specials, so check their website before going. Their website has listings of clubs and events going on, and details for signing up. You can book your events on-line as well.
3.White Stone

White Stone is located just 15 minutes from Fort Worth, in Benbrook, Texas.
This is a relatively new course built in 2000. It has 150 acres of beautiful rolling hills. They offer a GPS systems that is much cheaper than a caddy.
Prices run $15.00 to $45.00. They offer on-line tee-time specials randomly, so check their website often. Tee-times can be booked on-line. They have four sets of tees, so you can choose based on your skill range, to find something that is challenging.
