Review: Logitech Cordless Desktop Mouse and Keyboard MX5000 Laser

The Logitech Cordless Desktop Mouse and keyboard MX5000 Laser Is sold in a combination, with the cordless mouse and cordless keyboard and there is a charger for the desktop for the mouse. This keyboard has many options that are great and easy to set up and use. The keyboard and the mouse are both black in color. It is Vista compatible and has Bluetooth capabilities, so you can transfer things from your phone with ease. The software that comes with the keyboard installed without any problems. Setup was easy and quick.

I love the keyboard it has everything that I need to use right there on the keyboard. If I want to turn up the music volume or the sound volume I can do it quickly by just running my finger over the keyboard for the sounds volume. It lights up on the keyboard itself so that I know what level I have it. There is a LCD display on the keyboard that tells me the date and the time and the temperature. I don't know why they felt it necessary to have the temperature on the keyboard, but it's there if you want to know the temperature. If I am playing a song it also tells me what song it is and who sings it. There is a calculator that shows on the LCD display also so I don't have to waste time opening up the calculator on the computer.

The smart keys can be programmed to open programs on the computer that I usually use. So with one click of a key I have the programs open. There are buttons that can be programmed for webcam and email so one click can open it up quickly.

The mouse comes with its own charger so I never have to worry about the batteries dying in the middle of using it. As long as I remember to put the mouse on the desktop charger I am fine, it does have a battery indicator on the mouse so I know how much charge I have on the battery. It has the scrolling wheel that works great. The mouse fits comfortably in the palm of my hand.

I absolutely love the new keyboard and mouse. While it was kind of on the expensive side it still does great things that I never imaged a keyboard could do. Everything that I need is right here on the keyboard which saves me time during the busy day. The best thing with the Cordless desktop set is that there is a fast rechargeable device for the mouse. I only wish they had one for the keyboard also for a rapid recharge.

This is a very nice set and with its many functions I have been spoiled with it. This makes things so easy to use.
