Review of Mama Mary's Pizza Crusts

I found Mama Mary's Pizza Crusts in the dairy isle one day in my local supermarket. I was actually looking at the Boboli pizza crust, but I found the Mama Mary's to be cheaper and decided to give it a try.

I was not disappointed as Mama Mary's Pizza Crusts are a very good product. They have a light texture and does not taste like cardboard. The crust is not hard or chewy. I think it has more flavor than regular pizza crust. I buy them all the time now. I am a cook in a retirement home and I have my boss buy them for the residents as well. My residents get a kick out of having their own little pizza. They are so quick and easy to make. There is no mess or extra time involved, which helps me out because I have 16 residents, and I make them these cute individual sized pizzas. The pizza is ready in 7 to 10 minutes.

I can also make the pizza the way each one of my residents want it to be. They really enjoy this treat for supper. I send my kitchen helper around to each person with a list of items to be put on their pizza, and they place their order.
I just threw a Halloween party for my residents and I used the Mama Mary's pizza crusts, and we had guests at the party as well, they really enjoyed the pizza. I made a variety of pizzas, with all kinds of ingredients and combinations. There was something for everyone.The guests told me they had never heard of this product before, and they would be buying Mama Mary's to make at home.
I was really pleased that they liked them so much, and wanted to buy them as well.

I eat Mama Mary's quite a bit at home, as I am a single person, and I live alone. When I want to make pizza I don't want to spend a lot of time fooling around with the crust and the mess, so this product really comes in handy for me. I always have then on hand. I make all kinds of little pizzas, whatever I have on hand I can use to make a pizza such as: chopped up meatballs in sauce, chili, steak umms, mushrooms, broccoli, mini pepperoni. The list goes on and on. I also use whatever kind of cheese basically that I have on hand. Anything will really work on this pizza crust. The imagination is a wonderful thing when it comes to creating something mouth watering and tasty.

Basic Info On Mama Mary's Pizza Crust:

3 Pizza crust per package, about 6 inches each. Net wt. 12oz.( There is a larger size, they only come 1 per package).

The crust is Cholesterol free with 0 grams of trans fat per serving.
Calories before toppings are 187, they are made with honey, but you can't taste it.

Keep refrigerated, and they may also be frozen.

Making the pizza is a snap. There is no pan needed, you can use one if you want. I do however suggest placing tin foil in the bottom of the oven to catch any drippings that could occur. Which does happen sometimes if you overfill the pizza shell. You can also place the pizza on tin foil as it will make taking the pizza out much easier, and you don't have to dirty a cookie sheet.

Preheat oven to 450 degrees, then lower to 425 degrees. Meantime take a little olive oil or any kind of oil that you have on hand, and lightly brush over the crust, then put sauce and toppings and cheese on the pizza. Place in the oven for 10 minutes. Be careful taking it out as it will be hot. You can cut it into 4 small slices.
If you would like a more crispy crust place under the broiler until desired appearance is achieved.

Mama Mary's makes a great lunch for the kids as well, or a quick lunch for anyone, also great for a snack at night. My grandchildren love it when I make them, and they get to pick the toppings that they want, plus I let them make their own. They have so much fun creating their little pizza, and it is so cute to watch them decide how they are going to make the pizza. I however put them in the oven and take them out, unless of course it is an older child, then I will let them take the pizza out on their own.
Mama Mary's Pizza Crust also comes in handy if mom has to work late, and needs to make something quick for supper and there really is no time to cook a whole meal.
This is really a handy product to have on hand in the fridge.
