We visited the restaurant for the most famous buffet lunch served here on Sunday. The restaurant is nicely decorated with nice lightings and have good layout. There was no waiting and we could straight way proceed for our buffet. The buffet lunch was consisting of many items and it was not possible to eat all of these. So, the best way is to go for the selected items of your choice. The buffet lunch starts with appetizers like panipuri, dahibhalla, fruits, salads, chutneys, idli, vada, and most tasty and spicy vegetable south Indian Sambhar. The main dishes consisted of Gobi Manchurian, Paneer Tikka Masala, Paobhaji served in steaming hot condition, Bhindi Masala, Palakh Paneer, and dal makhini. All these main varieties were very tasty and it was very difficult to decide on what item to eat. There were nans, and special aloo parauthas also served that were very delicious. The mini Masala Dosas were served on the table in unlimited quantity. Two rice varieties were served in the form of pulav and jera rice. The rice was also of good quality and it was most enjoying eating rice with dal makhini. The papads, salads, and prickles were also there to add to your taste. After eating all these delicacies, the sweet end of the buffet lunch was yet to come. The deserts were fruit custard and black gulab jamuns. Both these deserts were excellent in taste and most satisfying. You get full up to the limit at this stage and feel fully contented with this excellent buffet. You will be surprised to note that the price of this lavish buffet lunch was only $10.99 during weekends and $7.99 on all weekdays. Some of the food varieties are reduced on the weekdays. The buffet lunch starts at 12 noon and ends at 2.30 pm everyday.
The restaurant serves dinner on e la carte basis in the evening up to 10.30 pm. The menu of dinner is also very impressive and consists of 8 appetizers like Aloo Tikki, Idli, Vada, vegetable samosa, and pakoras, each of them in the price range of around $5 per plate. The soups are also available in around 3 varieties like Rasam, mulligatawny, and tomato, each priced at around $4. The 12 varieties of Dosais and 7 varieties of Oothappams are also served at a price of around $8 to $11. The curries and entrees are served in around 18 varieties like Nargisi Aloo, Paneer Pasand, vegetable korma, Channa Masala, Aloo Gobi, Aloo baingan, Aloo Palak, Baingan Bharta, and Dal Makhini. All the curry dishes are served with vegetable Pulav. Each of these main entrée dishes have price in the range of around $11 per plate that can easily be sufficient for two persons. The house special thalis are also served in various varieties at the price range of around $18 to $24. The most popular Indian deserts like Gulab Jamuns, Kesari Rasmalai, Carrot Halwa, and Ice creams and kulfis are served at a price of around $4 to $5. The traditional Indian cold beverages like lassis, milk shakes, and tea/coffee are also served. The restaurant staff was also found very attentive and polite. The layout of the restaurant was also quiet spacious without any types of walking obstacles. The restaurant remains almost fully occupied, particularly during the weekends. So, if you plan your visit on the weekends, please make sure to book your table in advance. There was only one negative factor that we observed during the buffet was the time taken to refill the food items in the buffet containers after getting exhausted. This may be due to the weekend rush on that particular day and not a regular practice. If you are fond of non vegetarian food, there is also a non vegetarian restaurant just opposite to this restaurant serving non vegetarian Indian food, operated by the same management.
We really enjoyed our buffet lunch here and have no hesitation in recommending it to all my AC friends who love spicy vegetarian Indian food.
