Mark's Make it Big mascara comes in a .35 oz. tube. The packaging is an attractive black tube with pink lettering There are two colors available: raven, which is black, and espresso, a rich brown. The black is desirable for a more dramatic look and is an excellent choice for a smoky eye look. Espresso is a more subtle, natural look for that some might prefer for daytime.
There is not a waterproof version of this mascara.
This mascara typically sells for $6, though it goes on sale from time to time. This puts it in the same price range as mascara you would puchase at Target or Wal-Mart. A key difference in buying this mascara is that all Mark products come with a 100% guarantee, so if this product doesn't meet your expectations you can exchange it for another product or have your money refunded.
The brush is large and distributes the product onto the lashes well. The only drawback of such a large brush is that it makes it a little more difficult to reach the smaller lashes at the inner and outer corners of the eyes. This is easily solved by using the very tip of the brush to coat these lashes.
Though this mascara is a fine product that doesn't actively cause lashes to clump, whenever you are using a mascara designed to add this much drama to lashes, it is a good idea to comb out your lashes between coats. It does add some curl to the lashes, but for the most dramatic effect, lashes should be curled with an eyelash curler before application.
This mascara wears well throughout the day without flaking.
This mascara is similar to Christian Dior's popular Diorshow mascara, which comes in a .33 oz tube and retails for $23. In addition to being quite a bit more expensive, this mascara is a limited edition item and only comes in black. It can be purchased online or at a department store counter.
Mark products can be purchased through any Avon representative or by visiting Avon's website. Though Mark products are designed for and marketed to a young demographic, this product is a wonderful addition to anyone's makeup bag.
This is an excellent mascara that makes eyes look gorgeous without a huge price tag and without flaking onto your face or causing your lashes to cling together in unsightly clumps.
