Review: Marriott Hotel in Sandestin, Florida

Courtyard by Marriott Saved My Honeymoon!

Stephanie Manning
It was the most important day of my life...my Wedding Day. My husband and I were about to be married when at the last minute we decided not to go to Tennessee for our honeymoon due to a monstrous storm coming across the south east. Instead we decided at the last minute to play it safe and stay at the Courtyard by Marriott, which was about an hour away down on the beach.

I called the Reservations Desk at the Courtyard by Marriott which was associated with Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort. in Sandestin, Florida. I explained my situation with it being last minute and our honeymoon and after about five minutes on the phone and giving them my credit card number everything was confirmed and we would be ready to go after the wedding. Well upon our arrival that night at 2:00 am, we were greeted by the friendly staff. They helped us get our luggage and take it to our room.

Upon entering our room, I was in awe. As soon as I opened the door there was a trail of rose petals going from the front door to the bed and to the balcony. There were 2 large swan arrangements that had been made out of towels and Bonbons. There were candles, chocolates, wine and much more. I was in shear delight.

Amongst the great service, whether it was for new towels or for a late night snack, they were on it with in minutes. The bar was of excellent choice as well. The bartenders were top notch. Amongst the great service and the bar below, there was an awesome restaurant as well. The food was hot a fresh. And when they say Continental breakfast they really mean a huge buffet with anything you can think of! The pool was like a tropical paradise! The beautiful design along with the beautiful landscaping was like being on in Heaven. Another perk to staying at the Court Yard was that they had a 'computer café' like area. It was like a large living room with cozy seating and feel of comfort you would only find at home. There were computers with internet access around the room. Both in the comfortable seating as well as along the wall on wall mounted desk. It was a big asset for me as I need to keep in touch with my online business. All and all I would definitely go back again. In fact, we have already reserved the same room for our first anniversary in December. All thought it is only about an hour from where I live I will continue to go every time I need to get away!

Great info! I will have to keep that place in mind the next time we go to the beach.
