Bioware does not disappoint with its newly released Mass Effect 2. In this sequel, there are more guns, more people, more planets all of which are accessible to you, however you want to pursue them. Many of the menus and inventory screens have been simplified to allow for even easier access to what ever you are looking for. The visuals have been upgraded significantly, ranging from the environment to the individual characters in the game showing rich details like the facial expressions during cut scenes. The action is set at a much faster pace and keeps you in the throng of danger for longer periods of time as well as intensifying the violence from your opposition with each encounter. The upgraded shooting mechanics have become no-brainer and changed to adopt the styles present in other popular first person shooter franchises to help new people to the first person shooting genre.

In this epic second installment to the Mass Effect trilogy, the plot is filled with many sinister moments and brings the troubles of your crew into the spotlight as they struggle to choose what faction they wish to fight for. Much of your crew contains new and old faces who help in deciding how the plot will branch out in addition to your own moral choices. In addition, the voice acting and dialogue both set and the choices have been changed to allow for an even greater number of choices to be made in the game. Levels have also been made to be different every time, so even when you are just exploring the galaxy, you can still expect to be surprised every time you travel to a new planet. However, a new feature, scanning planets for valuable resources can be seen as a tedious task as you progress further and need to upgrade and customize your character. Although it is almost inevitable, there are some glitches that prove to be very troublesome as they may make you stuck on an invisible surface or make you suddenly get thrown into the air. Despite these minor inconveniences, Mass Effect 2 is still an amazing game that is definitely deserving that $60 price tag at most retailers.
