The Master Lock 2953AT 12-Volt DC Portable Winch gives you all the great advantages of having a winch without the hassle or expense. Although small, this particular alternative can get the job of pulling in a boat, rescuing a vehicle or whatever applicable project you can think of.
What impresses me the most about the Master Lock 2953AT 12-Volt DC Portable Winch is the ability to pull up to 6000 lbs of rolling weight as well as 2000 lbs of dragging power. This sturdily made mini winch attaches easily to a standard sized ball hitch without a problem and comes with a built in carrying handle for transporting.
When searching for a winch for my light duty truck, I felt that the Master Lock 2953AT 12-Volt DC Portable Winch would be the better choice. I did not want an ugly looking piece of equipment protruding from the front or backend of the truck.
Unfortunately, last winter my wife slid off the road while traveling home from work one afternoon. Considering that our family budget would not allow for a professional to retrieve the vehicle, I was happy that I had purchased this light duty winch months prior. With the supplied 20 foot high tension steel line, I had no trouble being able to retrieve her vehicle.
The Master Lock 2953AT 12-Volt DC Portable Winch moves slow and steady; about six foot a minute. I was also impressed with the amount of electrical current that the winch uses which is only a paltry four to six amps at best.
I have only had to use the Master Lock 2953AT 12-Volt DC Portable Winch one time but I have no doubts that it will perform flawlessly the next time a situation arises. Compared to having the services of a wrecker, the winch has already paid back the investment initially put into it.
I would highly recommend this product to anyone needing a little added assurance for their family and friends. I do not own a watercraft but from reading other reviews of this portable winch before buying it, other consumers have raved about its use when it comes to pulling boats back on to their trailers.
