Review: MAX Factor Stretch and Separate Mascara

TommiH
Hey everyone! Today we are going to take a look at MAX Factors' Stretch and Separate Mascara. During this time we are going to look at the application, color, wand and the formula texture. Let's get started!

Wand:

If you are a mascara guru, much like me, you are addicted to the wand style. Many people think mascara quality is strictly based off the formula texture. While it is true that a good mascara formula is the main key to a nice application, the wand also plays a part. There, now it's in your head so never forget!

I personally love the wand on this mascara. The brushes are close together without being right on top of one another. When the brushes are closer, you get more formula on the wand which gives you better results in the end. The close together bristles on the wand also keep the lashes close together and natural looking.

This mascara wand did as described on the package "stretch and Separate". The lashes don't clump with loads of formula, so no worries there. I was highly impressed with the wand.

Formula Texture:

A great formula gives great results. I like this formula because it's got enough moisture to it to keep the lashes from drying to quickly while applying the coat. A lot of mascaras dry when you're applying the first coat and it will cause the rest of the coat to clump and become very uneven, but not with this formula. MAX Factor found the right balance of moisture with mascara and I am very impressed.

Between the formula and wand, everything goes on smoothly without clumping and bunching your beautiful lashes into a big-beautiful mess. If you use the mascara properly and allow a sufficient amount of drying time between separate coats, if you apply more than one, the results are what any professional mascara could provide you.

Color:

Coloring of this mascara is strong and vibrant. There are three colors available in this mascara: black, brown/black, and brown. I have tried all three and was impressed with the black and brown/black. Maybe it's because I'm not a very big fan of brown mascara, but the coloring didn't seem to be as vibrant. If you have very fair skin and fair hair, I would suggest that you try the brown first because it is truly a light color. You don't want to over power your lashes and look fake.

Application:

Here comes the final test - application! This is where most beauty products come to a nail-biting moment. But I have to give application on this mascara two thumbs up. I was happy when I reached the 7th hour mark, but very impressed when mascara survived the night. I ended up falling asleep on the couch after a long day without taking my mascara off. When I woke in the morning I found that my lashes were still coated nicely without being clumped. I also had a nice smokey-liner look from a little color that escaped the lashes, ha! But I don't suggest that you sleep with your mascara on because it's not good for your lashes. They have to have a break.

In the end this is a very nice mascara for the price (I paid $7.65). It held onto my lashes for dear life no matter
what I put it through. My days are long and I take them on without mercy each and every time. This mascara survived work, cardio workouts, 4 mile run, and passing out on the couch at the end of the day. I highly recommend this mascara!
