The eyeshadow container is really different. It looks like a jar, and is glass. The underneath of the jar is clear glass, so you can see the color by turning it upside down. To open just unscrew the plastic top. It looks like an eyeshadow, when you open it, but you would think it to be a sample of skin cream, from the container.
The eyeshadow is a little darker than my tanned hands, but is a lot deeper than the color of my face. The eyeshadow is a cream, and it is very easy to apply with your finger. I hate to use a sponge, or an applicator, which tends to waste some of the eyeshadow.
I initially applied the eyeshadow to the bottom of the eyelids, and then smoothed it up to the brow area. This way I had more color on the lower eyelid and a lighter color at the brows.
Maybelline's instructions from the packaging:
"Apply your shadow by applying firstly on lid and then softly working it up towards eyebrow line."
After wearing it most of the day, the eyeshadow had a slight crease line, which was a little darker than the rest of the eyeshadow. It stayed all day and evening, and still had a slight sheen to it.
When I was ready to take off my makeup, I used my new Estee Lauder Gentle Eye Makeup Remover, and it came off instantly.
The eyeshadow I chose, is more of an evening color, than a daytime one. So I used it again, when I went dancing. As this is a creamy shadow and most of my other ones are powder, I am unable to use it combined with other eye-shadows. Even if I purchased this one in a lighter, or deeper color, I still don't think that I would be able to do two different shades, blending into one.
I do like the Maybelline Dream Mousse Shadow, and at the price I paid, it is fantastic value. If I had paid full retail price for it, I don't think I would have been quite so happy with it.
So for daytime use your powder eye-shadows, and then apply the Dream Mousse Shadow, when you are out on the town.

Post a CommentInteresting. Although I do not wear it, I like to see other people in it.
It seems like it would crease.
