Review of Maybelline Super Stay 24 Lip Color in All Day Cherry (015)

I was so dazzled and impressed with Maybelline Super Stay 24 Color, in a berry color, that when I found myself in a local Target a week later, I had to check out the other colors that they had available. Initially I wanted a lighter more bright pastel pink, but sadly, as of right now, the color choices available are pretty limited to either brown hues, deep reds, or plums.

I went ahead and chose the color that I knew I could layer best, and that was All Day Cherry (015).

This particular color is a very deep and bright red apple color, with shimmering flecks that are more micro powder shimmer than they are glitter flecks.

I knew this color would be best as a base, and I could layer it with other colors if it was too dark. The best thing about Super Stay 24 by Maybelline is that even if the top layer of lip color fades, the base, the actual lip color will not budge, so you can add color, gloss, and anything else you want on top of it.

When used alone All Day Cherry is bright, red, and beautiful. The shimmer that you see in the tube however does not show or shine, which I suppose is OK, although the shimmer would have been nice.

Application:

Applying Maybelline Super Stay 24 is easy, but you truly have to have a quick hand, and quickly wipe away any errors otherwise you could end up staining your upper or lower lip. The color sets fast, and dries fast. It's directed to wait 2 minutes before applying the moisturizing balm to the top of the color, but as soon as you feel your lips drying apply it, it settles best that way.

Once on, your lips will have a full flood of color that will last and last, through eating, drinking, etc. The color definitely stays put, and this is why this lip color has become my top favorite.

In the past lips would dry out and the color would crumble, but this stuff does not such thing. You have perfect colored lips, and they will not budge until you wipe it off with makeup removal or scrub it with warm water for a bit.

Overall:

Maybelline Super Stay 24 is by far the best long lasting lip color I have ever come across, and I cannot recommend it enough. I do hope to see more colors added to their selection though, as we are pretty limited. This stuff is new though, and I am sure in due time colors will be added to the collection, and by golly, I cannot wait!
