Review of the McDonald's on Union Avenue in Memphis, TN

This McDonald's is located at 905 Union Avenue in Memphis, TN. The zip code is 38103-3513. Their telephone number is 901-526-7812. It is located right across the road from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and right beside UTHSC College of Dentistry. It is located next to the Yummy Sub Shop and right down the street from Walgreens.

We have been to this McDonald's on at least three different occassions. Each time we have been there the service has been well below average. One time I went in to eat and stayed three minutes and left because despite only three people being in there it was going to take way to long to get through the line. The service on this visit was no different. The person taking our order was extremely rude. My wife ordered a meal with five chicken tenders and only received four. We had to wait almost ten minutes (to be fair we were told we would have to wait about seven minutes so that was no big deal).

The total cost of our meal was $11.13. As I have already said, my wife ordered the 5 piece chicken selects meal. This came with fries. The total cost of this was $5.60. She had a medium Sprite with it and this added $1.59 to the meal. The creamy ranch cup and spicy buffalo cup that came with this meal were free. I had 2 McDoubles ($2.00) and a small french fries ($1.00). The subtotal of our meal was $10.19. Tax was $0.94 for a grand total of $11.13.

My wife said the chicken selects were very good. Both of our fries were just a little cold but that may be because we had to wait on them to cook the chicken selects and then we had a ten minute drive home. My McDouble's were very good.

This McDonald's is the closest one to where we live. I should note that it is not in a great part of town. Even though it is beside a medical and dental school, you may still run into some characters that you are not crazy about. It may be safe to visit after dark but I would probably try not too. As I said in the preview, unless you absolutely have to eat McDonald's right at that very moment, you may want to find a different place to eat.
