Review: Michelina's Lean Gourmet Sweet & Sour Chicken Meal
Michelina's Sweet & Sour Chicken is Delicious and Affordable
In a microwave, Michelina's sweet & sour chicken takes just about 4-1/2 minutes on High to make, with a quick period of stirring after 3 minutes of cooking. In a conventional oven, cooking times increase to 45 minutes at 350 degrees, with stirring at 25 minutes into the cooking process.
About the Meal
As a 6-foot-tall man, my only issue with this Michelina's Lean Gourmet sweet & sour chicken meal is that it really isn't the most filling frozen meal I've had. At 8 ounces, I would personally call it more of a snack than a full meal, but that's just my opinion - you may find this 8-ounce sweet & sour chicken meal more than enough to satisfy your appetite.
While I may say the meal isn't large enough for me, the flavor and quality is very good. The chicken, which is skinless and not apparently fried, is white and seems very lean. The mixture of peppers, pineapples, and carrots complements the white rice and chicken well. The sauce flavor is light and fresh.
Overall, there's a lot of goodness in Michelina's Lean Gourmet sweet & sour chicken - there just isn't quite enough for me in the carton!
