Review Microsoft Zune Media Player

Brandy A.
The 30GB Microsoft Zune is perfect for those who are into music, video, and picture sharing. It is a great place to store you music and watch your podcasts. Each feature is easy to use, and the 3 inch screen makes the device enjoyable to watch both movies and music videos on.

Average price of the 30GB Microsoft Zune is around $149.99. Then again, it all depends on where you purchase it. Like around the holidays, Toys R' Us sometimes prices them down as low as $79.99. And if you check Ebay and Amazon, there will be a completely different range of prices. But that is the average price when you purchase it brand new from a retail store.

Features
My favorite piece of technology is my Microsoft Zune, 30 GB. Maybe I like it so much because mine is pink and it fits me. But I think it's mostly because I can take a DVD and convert it to fit on my Zune, making this more portable than my portable DVD player. I have no problem watching a full screen movie on the device's 3 inch screen. Perfect for waiting rooms.

This is a great device to store your music, audio files, podcasts, videos, episodes, movies, and even pictures. A few more features include the FM Radio, games, wireless sync (to computer and other Zune users) and many programs and such available with the Launch and website.

You can even use the device as a portable gaming system. Just download the games you wish to put onto the device, and wait patiently while it syncs to the 30GB harddrive. This will let you have hours of fun, switching from music to games to movies. While jamming to your tunes, you can also view a slide show of the pictures you add to the Zune. There are many possibilities to pass the time.
The 30GB Zune can hold up to 100 hours of video, 25,000 pictures, 7,500 songs, a lot of games, and a large mixture of each one.

Downfalls
It does not work with Mac, considering it is a Microsoft product. Other than that I haven't found any thing that I don't like about the Zune, but I have heard that one good fall could cause it to stop working. I don't know if this is true or not. I am a bit clumsy once in a while, and mine has fallen a few times, but it has never stopped working, or even came close to it. I even caught the cord while it was charging, as I was walking by and it flew across the room. And it still works perfectly. Maybe if you drop it off a second floor balcony or something, but really, what piece of technology would survive that unscathed? I am very satisfied with my Zune.

If purchased brand new, you should receive several items in the box. Minus he manual and Zune itself. You should have a soft-suede carrying pouch (which is a tight fit, downfall), a USB data cable/charger to hook into your computer. Magnetic ear buds, but any are compatible (except bluetooth). And the Launch disc to add to your computer for install as well as Social, where you can get podcasts, music, audio and video, some free and some for a charge.
