Color of
Milani Cool Vibe Nail Polish
I would describe Cool Vibe as being in the fuschia family. It looks like a mixture of hot pink and red, so it's bright and it has both cool and warm undertones.
It's a berry shade that I thought would look great against my caramel colored skin, which is similar to Rihanna's or Beyonce's. And I was right. I gave myself a pedicure using Cool Vibe and this color looked awesome against my skin and brought out the rosy tones in my toes. It's a very bright, notice me shade and I actually got several compliments on it.
Texture of
Milani Cool Vibe Nail Polish
I was very pleased with the application of this nail polish. It wasn't the best quality polish I've ever used, but for $3.99, I thought it went on reasonably well.
It's not too thick so it spreads out easily, but it has a sticky consistency so it can easily become thick and clumpy. But I found that as long as I kept a thin coat on the brush that it was easy to apply a neat coat. It does take longer than five minutes to full dry, and I noticed that it can look streaky if the nail doesn't get a perfectly even coat.
But, for the most part, the color and coat on my nails looked good, so I didn't really care too much about how the Cool Vibe went on. However, I was really disappointed with how my toes looked only a couple of days after I polished them. It started to look like plastic and the shine and color faded so Cool Vibe just looked dull, as if I'd gone running for hours on a sandy beach.
In the End...
I really liked the berry toned Cool Vibe, but the fact that it wound up looking like dull plastic only 2 days after I applied it was just unacceptable to me. It was a waste of my time and money, so I won't be buying this again. I give it 2 out of 5 stars.
