Mint.com: What It Is And Why You Should Be Using It

Ex Credit Card Executive
My disclaimer- I am not an employee of Mint.com, I do not know any employees of Mint.com nor am I in anyway affiliated with Mint.com, other than a user of the site.

Okay, so you are probably asking yourself, what is Mint.com? It is an absolutely amazing site to help you manage your financial life online. You start out with creating a sign on with your email address and a password. After you become a user you add every single bank, credit cards and other financial sign ons into Mint.com. Mint.com then pulls all of your data back from every other source into one easy to use interface. Now I realize that quite a few banks offer this service as well, but to be frank, I just don't trust what the banks will do with that data. As of this writing, Mint.com is free. Based upon your data, Mint.com will present offers to you to save money. The graphical content and break out of spending patterns is just flawless. Mint.com will even send you email reminders when payments are coming due, your balance gets low (based upon a threshold that you set). This company really got it right from the interface to the reports and even the offers.

The best feature for me is basically only having to remember one password to pull up all my financial data. Additionally, Mint.com will also provide spending trends and historical data for your financial life.

My only watchout is when you change your password on one of your financial sites, make sure you update Mint.com.

Mint.com currently supports 3500+ financial institutions.

I highly recommend this website and see a bright future for this company, provided no bank snaps them up in the short term!
