Review: Mioxology Makeup Mineral Eye Shadow and More
Mineral Eye Shadow, Mineral Eye Liner, Mineral Foundation and More at Affordable Prices!
The Mixology Makeup line features organic and vegan handmade mineral makeup products at surprisingly affordable prices. Rae's want to produce quality and healthy makeup so that everyone can afford to avoid the chemicals in commercially manufactured cosmetics. Mixology Makeup has an extensive line of mineral eye shadows, mineral foundation, mineral blush, and more. Rae has also created sets of mineral makeup that are specifically paired to create the makeup looks of the characters in Twilight. These sets can be found in Mixology Makeup's Etsy store under the Twiology section.
I received the mineral eye shadows in the colors Armor and Crush, Radiate mineral Blush, Hello glow! mineral bronzer, mineral eye liner in Plum, Natural Gin mineral foundation and Get veiled mineral veil foundation. The mineral eye shadows are very beautiful in person. They have great color pay off and can blend very easily. One thing that I do have to point out is the amount of color pay off and wear that you get out of this mineral eye shadow without a primer is amazing. The plum mineral eye liner is the best mineral eye liner that I have ever used. It glides on very smooth and is easy to apply. I was impressed to see that the liner even stayed put relatively well when I applied it dry (as a test) and tried wiping it away with my finger. My mineral face makeup are (in my opinion) better than Bare Minerals. I find that these have better coverage and staying power than the Bare Minerals face makeup that I tried in the past. I highly recommend all of Mixology Makeup's mineral makeup due to the fact this is very high quality mineral makeup at a budget friendly cost. With 65 different mineral eye shadow colors to choose from, you are sure to find something to tickle your fancy. Mixology Makeup was even a part of the luxury gift suite at the Emmy's this year!
Mixology Makeup's creator Rae has always had a interest since she was around 6 years old. Her babysitter was a makeup artist who had all boys. So Rae became the guinea pig for her babysitters' makeup look tryouts and more. Needless to say, she picked up on quite a few things. Her mom is a collector of gems and her dad is a hobby prospector. Having all of those beautiful items around from her parents' and her love for makeup combined to fuel her passion for creating makeup. In 2004, Rae was working a job that she liked, but she had to let go of all her creative outlets and was craving some outflow. All of these factors set the stage for Rae to create Mixology Makeup. When you just speak to Rae, it is easy to feel the passion that she has for her mineral makeup. This makes me feel even more comfortable using her mineral makeup products because I can tell that she puts her absolute best into every product. Not only is Rae a mineral makeup maven, she is also a humanitarian that tries to give back to great causes. Currently 5% of Mixology Makeup's sales go to with Blood:Water Mission. This is a charity that benefits Africa and is intended to create clean water drinking wells. Rae is also currently in China where she is volunteering her time to teach English and even some makeup skills at a vocational school there. This allows you to purchase some great mineral makeup and help out some wonderful causes at the same time.
You may wonder where Mixology Makeup is going now. Up, of course! Rae will be creating some lip products and trying her hand at mascara. Something that is also on the list is more eye shadows. Eye shadows are my favorite cosmetic to collect so I am looking forward to seeing what she creates.
