When my daughter was born, my nighttime sleep routine went from 8 hours straight to waking up every hour and a half to two hours. this went on for a good month and my husband and I were at our wit's end. Noticing how tired my husband was, a guy he worked with suggested that we try the Miracle Blanket. At first I was skeptical about paying $30.00 for a blanket. "But," as my husband said, "what if it works?". I decided to spend the money and the Miracle Blanket was worth every penny.
The premise behind the Miracle Blanket is that it uses the infant's own body weight to tightly swaddle them. Unlike other swaddle blankets, it has two arm flaps that hold the baby's arms down and tuck under the child's body to keep them from coming loose. It also has one side that is long enough to wrap around the baby's body several times. This applies light pressure to the baby's tummy, which is supposed to be comforting to them. Once properly placed in the Miracle Blanket, your baby will look just like a snug little glow worm.
The first time I put my daughter in the Miracle Blanket she did struggle a little bit. After she settled into it, she looked relaxed and cozy. She went to sleep and didn't wake up for almost six hours! I actually woke up after four hours and went to check on her because I couldn't imagine that she would sleep that long. Every night in the Miracle Blanket she slept even better until she was sleeping eight to twelve hours per night. My husband and I felt like humans again, instead of zombies.
Per the product recommendations, we only used the Miracle Blanket through the third month. By the time we stopped using the blanket, she was so used to sleeping through the night that she didn't have any trouble without it.
I would absolutely recommend the Miracle Blanket to any new parent who is suffering from sleepless nights. Although I was at first wary of the price, knowing how effective it is, I would now pay double. I even give the Miracle Blanket as a gift to friends of mine who are new mothers and have every intention of using it with my next child. As the product name implies, this blanket really is a miracle.
