Gameplay
The objective of MoMiner is to use the Super Duber Digger to dig until you hit the big treasure.
Position your digger, then press enter to fire the digger deep into the earth. The amount of fuel you have is displayed at the top-left of the screen. The depth you are currently at is displayed to the right of the fuel bar. The amount of gold you currently have is displayed to the right of the depth value. At the top-right of the screen, you can see the score you have for your current dig.
Throughout the game, there are a few items that can help you out. The colored spherical objects are ores and can be collected to upgrade your digger. The red tank and green blob are fuel that helps your digger dig deeper. There are also objects throughout the game that will slow down your digger. These objects include different sized rocks.
Once you run out of fuel, the game will end. When the game ends, you have the option to quit or retry. You will also be shown the depth you were able to achieve as well as the score you got from the last run. When you click retry, you will be taken to the shop.
With the gold that you get from each dig, you can purchase upgrades at the shop. There are seven different upgrades, each of which can be upgraded a different amount of times. You can purchase anything from a radar to locate ores and rocks to more fuel to a better digger.
The number of tries you have taken up to this point are shown at the top-right of the shop screen.
Game Review
With so many upgrades and an unknown depth of the area that you're digging, MoMiner is quite an addicting game. It hooks players with its many upgrades, and it keeps them playing to find out what is at the end of this dig. However, the game can become quite wearisome and repetitive, since all you're really doing is dodging rocks and collecting fuel and ores. The only incentive to keep playing is to reach the end of the underground. Other than that and the upgrades, this game doesn't have much to offer the hardcore gamer, but is perfect for the casual gamer.
MoMiner scores an 7/10. More obstacles during the dig would improve the game.
