Review of the Movie Bounty Hunter

Allie Bojko
When this movie first came out in theatres on the opening weekend I was really excited to watch it but unfortunately I didn't have the chance to that particular week. I knew I was missing out on how funny and great the movie would actually be so I was a little frustrated. I read many reviews from newspapers and even got a little insight from my friends, they weren't good, so I was a little stunned. Recently I paid a visit to my local movie theatre and went ahead to watch this movie. I didn't think that this movie would be all that bad plus I wanted to watch it and so I did. Read below for what I'll say in this article as well as getting my honest opinion on the movie The Bounty Hunter.

Gerard Butler (Milo) plays the role of a former cop that switches career's in order to be a bounty hunter. He is given a particular task which ironically involves his ex-wife Jennifer Aniston (Nicole). His wife Nicole works as a local reporter for New York City, she was given a particular task which involves trying to investigate a big story, but in the process gets caught by ex-husband (Milo) who's in fact a bounty hunter. The reason why he eventually tracks down his wife, simply because she avoids going to her bail hearing which she clearly knows about. It sounds like a catchy movie right, but it has it's faults read on.

As the movie was slowly unwinding I just noticed how off Gerard Butler and Jennifer Aniston's acting chemistry was off on the big screen. For instance, they could be compared to how oil and water don't mix well that's exactly how it was on screen whenever the two where shown in the same scenes. I'd hate to say it but this movie is a total failure it completely missed. The story's plot was all over the place because of all the randomness, there were many ridiculous moments in the movie that didn't quite make sense. It was classified as a romantic comedy and yes it was but many of the some-what funny moments had many stiff moments in which many people in the theatre wouldn't laugh but that one particular person was laughing out loud at every scene in the movie, every romantic scenario in the movie were as predictable as always. I was just about ready to leave the movie half way through, but being with my boyfriend I couldn't spoil the time I had with him. I'd have to say the only emotion I experienced from the movie Bounty Hunter was frustrated for having my boyfriend pick up the tab on spending his 9 dollars.

I wouldn't recommend this movie to anyone to see at the movie theatres because I didn't enjoy it that much. It's also my own opinion considering that someone that did watch this movie might enjoy it or hate it just as much as I did. But if your looking for a movie that yells "Hey" I'm cheesy and pathetic because of it's predictability wait until it comes out on Dvd and than rent it from your local video store. I hope you have learned a couple of things by reading this article on my movie review of Bounty Hunter and I'd also like to say thanks for reading.
