I had to stop off at the gas station this morning to top off my car before work. I was running behind a bit and, as a result, I couldn't stop off somewhere for breakfast like I originally planned so, instead, I ended up looking for something to eat while standing in line (behind a guy who couldn't make up his mind which lottery scratch offs to buy).
I originally was going to buy an energy bar, but as I was holding it and waiting for my turn in line, I noticed something different; Nestle Butterfinger Snackerz. Even though these obviously weren't the healthiest choice for breakfast, they were about half the price of my energy bar so I ended up picking up a pack of them instead.
I wasn't really sure what to expect from this particular product when I bought it. Even though I'll eat Butterfingers candy bars, they aren't my favorite and, to be honest, I wasn't really sure if these were going to be any different from them. However, after trying them, I had to admit I was pretty impressed.
First of all, if you see these and think they are nothing more than miniature sized Butterfinger candy bars (like I did originally), you will be mistaken and pleasantly surprised. There is some similarity between these and the actual candy bar. But, there's just enough difference to consider these something completely different.
For one, they aren't has hard to chew as Butterfingers. They have the crispiness the other candy bar has but they don't stick in your teeth nearly as much (one of my biggest complaints about the original candy bar). What really impressed me though was the overall flavor. These are small squares but they taste like so much more; both because of the sweetness from the chocolate and because of the soft center inside. The peanut butter drizzle also gives them a somewhat different taste.
In fact, I liked this so much, I ended up picking up another bag while out at lunch so I had something to snack on before going to the gym. Yes, they were that addicting; especially when you consider I don't normally eat that much chocolate.
If you are looking for some sort of candy treat to try (preferably not for breakfast like I did), I recommend looking for these. I know I intend on buying them again; this time for the entire family to enjoy.
