I'm 32 and while I have some lights lines around my eyes and forehead, it's nothing I'm too worried about. I also have light acne from time to time and wanted a product that would keep flare-ups at bay. But the primary reason I was intrigued by this product was because it uses salicylic acid and glycolic acid. As a teenager, I always found that these ingredients not only helped fight against outbreaks, but also improved the look and feel of my skin.
I picked up a 4 fluid oz tube of the Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle Anti-Blemish Scrub for a little under $7.00. It was approximately $.30 more than the cleanser and face mask I had previously used, but thought that slight increase of cost was worth the test.
Because I had so much trouble getting the mask and cleanser to rinse off during my last product test which in turn bleached my hand towels, I kept this tube in the shower with me. It has a light texture that spreads on easily and has a pleasant enough smell. I don't care for perfumes and scents in my skin products and this proved light and manageable. After rinsing it off, I noticed it didn't have that deep clean and invigorating feeling the Neutrogena Deep Pore Cleanser and Mask offered, but it was also easier to get on and off. I applied some moisturizer and went about my day.
I decided to use the product again that night, risking the chance of over drying my skin. Again, it went on and came off easily and I applied more moisturizer. I continued to use the product every day, sometimes twice a day, and never experienced over drying. I always use moisturizer after washing my skin, and usually use sunscreen before leaving for work, so this may have helped combat dryness.
After a week I started to notice that the fine lines around my eyes were less prominent. They were still there, but just weren't that pronounced any more. This was a surprise, as I wasn't using the product specifically to combat wrinkles. The light dusting of acne I occasionally treat were also gone.
I kept using the product for the next month and never experienced drying. My fine lines continued to fade and my acne had more or less disappeared all together. I would definitely recommend the product to someone who has light acne, fine lines, or wants to see an improvement in the quality of their skin. For me, the Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle Anti-Blemish Scrub made my skin look smoother and a brighter.
However, I do miss that fresh invigorating, deep clean feeling I got from the deep pore mask. I might opt to test out other masks and use it once a week in conjunction with the scrub.http://www.neutrogena.com
