Review of the Nintendo Wii

I got my Wii about four weeks after it came out on November 19th. I waited on line at the Nintendo World Store in New York City from four in the morning until they opened at seven o'clock. At about five in the morning a old women that was obviously homeless came down the line and said she was selling her spot. Of course I was not going to pay an extra hundred dollars just for a spot on line. At seven o'clock when the doors to the store finally opened and the homeless people started to get the Wii's and give them to the people that paid them to wait that night. I saw a man in a black jeep he had about forty Wii's in the trunk. I was annoyed that Nintendo was forging a secondary market.

I spoke to the manger when he told everyone to leave and there were no more Wii's. I told him that it is unfair that these men get forty Wii's to sell on ebay when I only want one. So after that he said come back at twelve o'clock and he will see what he can do about getting me a Wii. So that afternoon I took my lunch break early and walked to the Nintendo World Store and got Wii. The Wii was one of the best purchases I made in a long time. The Wii comes packed with the console, a console stand so you can stand your console vertically, a clear circular stabilizer for the main stand. It also comes with one Wii Remote, one Wii Nunchuck and one Sensor Bar. It comes with a main power supply and standard AV cables and Nintendo included a copy of a game Wii Sports. I had a lot of fun those first couple of weeks playing Wii Sports.

The bowling and tennis are loads of fun for kids and parents. After about two weeks of owning the Wii and beating Marvel: Ultimate Alliance the Wii has gotten a little boring. I keep my self occupied with games from the Virtual Console while I am waiting for great games to come out. The Wii has built in Wi-Fi and you are cable of browsing the Internet. The one big let down is the strength of the Wi-Fi. I love the Nintendo Wii it is great when people come over and you need something to do. The Wii also has a easy to use interface calling everything a channel. So if you want to know current news without turning off your Wii you can go to the news channel and see up to date news. The Wii was made for everyone and if you want something that has the potential to be the greatest system of all time without burning a hole in your pocket you should pick up a Nintendo Wii.
