A few years ago, before their breakup, a band that named themselves after a phrase uttered in the movie Revenge Of The Nerds 2 recorded a full length CD that wouldn't see the public light until a few years later. The band was called No On 15. The CD was named "Meet the Lads."
The CD production seemingly never saw the light of day, even though a few songs from the CD landed on a sampler CD sold at some No On 15 shows. Now, totally available on iTunes, the CD is back in a new form.
The track listing begins with the song "Born to Rock and Roll." As with most No On 15 records, this track will make you want to wave your hands in the air, stomp around like a goon, and tackle your friend screaming the chorus in his or her ear. While dancing to this song, make sure you don't smash too much furniture or hit too many people. That may lead to badness.
As the record continues, some other tracks that stand out are Radio Daze; Record Collection 1, Girl 0; Meet The Lads; and a cover of the Coyote Shiver's song Sugar High.
If you have the extra cash, love punk music that includes horns, or just want a CD that will make you want to break stuff when you can't reach your Andrew WK CD, this is one you can't help but buy.

Post a CommentNo On 15 is the best ska band I have ever heard and I have heard a lot of ska bands these guys just have a sound of their own and you won't be disappointed with their music except for the fact that you weren't ever at any of their concerts. yeah I remember a couple times at the crowbar thanks for the awesome times No On 15!!
