Review of Noah's Ark Restaurant

Good Eats in Bremerton, Washington

If you happen to find yourself in what is known as west sound Puget Sound, you need to stop in and see what the hub bub is all about at Noah's Ark Restaurant. Located in Bremerton, Washington, this eatery has something for everything. Let us see why...

First of all, there is a long, local history here. To this day, it is a family-owned and operated business that is heavily involved with the local community. That is nice. Step inside and see the tradition. It is really impressive seeing all the plaques and newspaper clippings on the wall.

The ambiance in and outside of Noah's Ark Restaurant is pleasing, also. From the outside it looks like a small traditional diner. There is not a lot of parking to be found here, so beware. Still, the white building is attractive. Another nice thing about the exterior is the welcoming sign featuring the daily specials. It is hard to miss.

Inside, customers are greeted with a place that is bustling with energy. There are usually huge crowds inside here, which is a testament to the good eats. The interior is reminiscent of a 1950's - style diner, charming and spacious.

Customers place orders on one end of the counter, and pick them up at the opposite end. In between ends is a tempting deli-style meat and cheese case (items are available for purchase, also).

The food here is dynamite! Noah's Ark Restaurant is known as "the home of the Philly Steak sandwich" and absolutely lives up to it! Every Philly Steak I have had here has been delicious! They have Philly Steak sandwiches of: BBQ, Teriyaki, Mushroom, Bell Pepper, Nick's Special (Nick's the owner), amongst others. Sandwiches are served on French rolls and are HUGE! Once I bit into my BBQ Steak, I could tell that all the ingredients were fresh.

Noah's Ark Restaurant is also known for their wide variety of Gourmet Burgers ranging from Pizza Burger, Double Ark Burger, to Guacamole Burger (yummm!) - to name just a few of the burgers available.

There also are hot dogs, subs, soups, salads, plus hot and cold beverages. The 'American Sandwiches' include killer bbq beef, Malibu chicken, and Reubens - there are many more.

Sandwiches are served in a plastic basket with wax paper. Very attractive!

No Noah's Ark Restaurant review would not be complete without mentioning their 'real ice cream' shakes and malts. The Pumpkin, Eggnog, and Chocolate (individuals) are scrumptious! They can easily be made into two separate meals. I like that. And, you can watch them being made. I like that also. They also serve sundaes, banana splits, and cream puffs. Too many desserts to list here!

For those so inclined, breakfast sandwiches are available. I have not had any of these, but have heard good things about them.

All of the prices are very reasonable considering the large portion sizes, fresh ingredients, and high quality found here. When I first saw their menu, I did not like their prices. Then I had one of their sandwiches (bbq beef) and am hooked. I HIGHLY recommend this eatery to anyone in the area.

So, if you find yourself in Bremerton, Washington and are hungry for some homemade cooking, stop by Noah's Ark Restaurant on 6th Street. It is a favorite with the locals, including the PSS Naval Shipyard workers.

They offer carry-out. Call them at 360-377-8100 or visit them online at www.noahsarkrestaurant.com
