The Nob Hill Hotel was established in 1906, and provides a quaint, Victorian décor setting to weary travelers. Our initial entry introduced us to the common area and lounges. A uniformed bell boy awaits the guests and offers his services with luggage or opening and closing the traditionally styled elevator door. A small bar and diner is available to guests desiring a drink or small meal.
We stayed in the King Deluxe room, one of the less spacious offers; however, the undersized quarters still provided enough comfortability for two adults. The view overlooked the untiring San Francisco streets and its constantly active residents. Though the significantly small bathroom proved less convenient, it provided enough space to navigate and proceed with the daily hygiene. All the rooms included Wi-Fi and HBO at no additional costs.
Thankfully, we reserved the room on a Sunday night via Travelocity. The costs equaled $68 after taxes, etc, considerably less expensive than surrounding hotels. Furthermore, a continental breakfast is provided each morning and wine tastings in the evening. For those unfamiliar with the cost of living in San Francisco, this is a bargain! The Nob Hill is also conveniently located within blocks of tourist attractions such as China Town and Union Square.
To conclude, for those anticipating visiting this beautiful city and reserving accommodations, contact Travelocity and request this historic hotel at a great price. The one downside associated with the hotel, and city for that matter, is parking. The hotel is especially limited and those left unprovided for typically resort to $20 overnight parking down the block. Luckily, though, parking is conveniently located on nearly every corner. I have included the link to the hotel's website below, for those interested.
